Why create saved target groups in Facebook Power Editor?
One of the challenges with creating Facebook Ads is duplicating your audience. If you have a lot of interests and Facebook partner categories created, this can take up a lot of your time.
For instance, just imagine having to complete the following fields for every single Facebook Ad that you create.
- Country
- State
- City
- Zip Code
- Age
- Sex
- Precise interests
- Facebook partner categories
- Facebook broad categories
- Connections
- Custom audiences
- Excluded audiences
- Interested in
- Relationship
- Languages
- Education
- Workplace
Now imaging filling in that same information over and over for various Facebook Ads. It can be very time-consuming.
Fortunately, there’s an easy way to create saved target groups in Facebook Power Editor. By creating a saved target group in Facebook Power Editor, you won’t have to input any of this information over and over. Instead, you can just select your target group.
How to create saved target groups in Facebook Power Editor
1. Launch Facebook Power Editor
To create saved target groups in Facebook Power Editor, you’ll want to install Facebook Power Editor.
2. Choose the type of audience you want to use in Facebook Power Editor
Within Facebook Power Editor, you have two options when creating a saved target group.
Option one is to use an existing ad. Option two is to create a new audience (you will have to define the audience just once).
To create an audience using an existing ad, simply follow these steps:
- Select an existing Facebook Ad
- Click on “create audience using ad”
- Rename your saved target group
To create a new audience, simply follow these steps:
- Click on “audiences”
- Click on “create audience”
- Click on “saved target group”
- Name your saved target group
- Fill-in the fields for your saved target groups
