For those of you who are unfamiliar with Pinterest, it is a site that uses boards to let you share and organize your favorite quotes, images and videos from around the web.  What’s great is that in addition to being able to organize photos and videos onto boards, you can set a board cover photo.  We’re going to show you how to set a board cover on Pinterest to make your boards more appealing to users.

How do I make my board stand out on Pinterest?

Besides pinning quality images to your boards on Pinterest, a great way to get more people to follow you and to repin (share) your content is to set a board cover.  Setting a board cover is similar to deciding on which photo to use for your DVD packaging.  The more enticing an image, the more chances you have that someone would want to look further into what you have pinned on that particular board.

Do you know how to be Pinteresting? We all know what Pinterest is, but what does the term Pinteresting really mean? Basically Pinteresting means that you’re interesting on Pinterest.

Why be Pinteresting?

Before we talk about how to be pinteresting, think about the people and the pinboards you currently follow on Pinterest.  Why is it that you follow them?  Is it because they are boring?  I hope that’s not the case.  Why would anyone want to follow a pinboard that’s boring?  Instead, if you want to grow your Pinterest following and get more repins, you have to be Pinteresting.

If you’re pinteresting, not only will it help you get more repins and followers, but it will also help boost your online influence on Pinterest because people will find the content that you curate interesting and in-turn, share it with their friends.

Although most of the users on Pinterest are women, Pinterest continues to see a lot of men join the network.  This makes it a great a platform for businesses to boost their online influence and helps them to reach their target audience.  By targeting the right audience and getting into their minds, you can influence Pinterest users to not only buy your products, but to also help build your brand, promote your business, and grow the size of your Pinterest following at the same time!

Pay to Send Out of Network Facebook Messages – Is It Worth It?

Back in December, Facebook was testing out a new feature that would let you pay to send out of network Facebook Messages. For most users, they thought paying to send Facebook Messages was a hoax.

Over the weekend, I was going to send a Facebook Message to a user who was outside of my network and was immediately prompted with the following message. If I wanted to send a Facebook message to someone outside of my network, I would need to pay.  Seriously? Yes, you may have to pay to send a Facebook Message to someone outside of your network.
