Below are a few noteworthy apps and updates for your smartphone (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Google Android) that I wanted to highlight. The selection of apps that I have chosen offer ways to help you be more productive as well as connect with people around the globe via video. There are even some great apps for those of you who do a lot of work with PDF files as well as one app in particular that makes it easy to share video clips with your friends – who attended the same event (be sure not to miss this one).
I hope you’ll enjoy this weeks mobile app selections that can help you simplify many key areas of you life.
This week’s notable apps and updates:
Vyclone: How many times have you been at an event with your friends – where you’re all taking different videos of the event and wanted to share the memories with everyone but ended up with lots of different video clips? Fortunately, Vyclone can help you with all of the different video clips, because what this app does it is gives you the ability to each shoot separate videos and it then combines them for you into one video. This way you don’t miss out on some of the great videos your friends took!

PDF Expert: For anyone who does business on the go, it is crucial to be able to open PDF documents from your mobile device such as your iPhone or iPad. If you deal with contracts, your business also needs the ability to complete forms and make annotations and drawings on them. PDF Expert aims to do just that – it is also the only PDF app that let’s you fill-in forms right from your device!

Tango: While I love using FaceTime, I miss the ability to use it when I’m not connected to a Wi-Fi network. If I do want to make FREE video calls and don’t have a wireless network around, I fire up Tango. Not only does this app let you make free video calls, but you can do so over 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi – you can also send free text messages too using this app.

Checkmark: While I love the reminders app for iPhone and iPad, I often find it reminding me too early or too late to do something. What it is missing, Checkmark makes up for. Not only does Checkmark give you the ability to create reminders, but you can also setup shortcuts for things you frequently set reminders for and even set specific times before and after you have arrived at a place to remind you – this way you won’t forget to do what you wanted to remind yourself to do.

Pic Stitch: Don’t wait to get back home to create stunning displays of your favorite photos. Pic Stitch lets you do it right from your iPhone or iPad (and for free). They even offer the ability to share your latest stitched photos on Facebook, Twitter as well as on Instagram too!
