While the Apple iOS eco-system is rock solid, sometimes we just want to personalize it some. Unfortunately, the only customization we have are the ability to change the wallpapers and lock screen among a few others.
For anyone who is a regular sender of text messages, the standard blue and green text messages make it difficult to share your enthusiasm with the person you are texting. For example, say you want to send someone a birthday cake in your text message – you couldn’t. You’re relegated to just typing happy birthday. How fun, right? Fortunately, there’s now an app for that called Color Text Messages+ for iOS.
What I like about this app:
When you launch the app, you’ll notice there are a good number of options. You now have the ability to change the color of your text messages, use a different font, include images and even change the background of the text messages. This presents us with a large number of options so that we can personalize our text messages. Overall, I like the snapiness of the Color Text Messages+ app and how it works seamlessly with the text messages part of the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
How it works
To use Color Text Messages+, all you simply need to do is the following:
- Launch Color Text Messages+
- Select your font, color and background
- Type your text message
- Click “send” – this will launch the text messages program on your iPhone or iPad where you can select the people you want to text.
Where to get the app:
Color Text Messages+ is an iTunes Plus app, meaning you can download one version and use it on your Apple iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. It is also a FREE app, so you won’t have to feel guilty about downloading it, trying it out and deleting it if you find it’s not for you.
Happy texting!
