It has been quite a busy month for Facebook. Not only did they launched the most-anticipated IPO ever, but Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, got married, and they happened to launch a slew of new features for Facebook Page owners – they’re 3 must-have features too!
Let’s dig into 3 new Facebook Page features that were just released that will help take your Facebook Page to the next level.
Percentage of engaged Facebook Page fans
We’re not all mathematicians. Fortunately, in addition to Facebook Insights, Facebook Pages can now see what percentage of their Facebook Page fans were engaged with a specific post.
This means that instead of just posting content, you can know what is and isn’t working with fans and adjust (which is key). Remember, it isn’t about having the most fans. It’s about engaging with the ones you currently have and turning them into social media advocates for your business.
Promote a Facebook Page post
Stop me if you’ve heard this one – you’ve posted a photo, a status update or link to Facebook, but you’re not sure how well your post did with fans. Worry no more! With Facebook adding in the ability to see what percentage of your Facebook Page fans engaged with your content, if you want to increase how many people potentially see your content, now you can – for a price.
What’s great though is that Facebook Pages have the ability to promote posts straight from Facebook Timeline. I know what you’re thinking too – what percentage of my fan base am I guaranteed to reach? Facebook says though that brand posts reach approximately 16% of their fan base. With promoted Facebook Page posts, they suggest you can potentially reach 75% – amazing!
Facebook Page region switch
While this last new Facebook Page feature is still in beta, you can check it out over on the Facebook Marketing Page. Basically, if you’re a global brand like McDonald’s, who does business across a number of different countries, this new feature will let fans switch between global and local Facebook Pages.
What I really like is that in the future, imagine being redirected to the right Facebook Page in your country without having to worry if you’re visiting the right page (or if they even have a page in your country).
